In the spirit of Winter and Fun
The Quebec 2015 Winter World Masters Games shined in the spirit of winter and fun, bringing athletes together to celebrate competition in a festive, snow-filled atmosphere. With camaraderie as strong as the competition, the Games captured the joy and magic of winter sport.
Athlete Comments & Reviews
“Everybody cheers for each other!”
“I loved the mood of everybody cheering for everyone, like I was watching in the stands the M70 triple jump and everybody was cheering whatever the nationality, whatever the performance and I really like that about the Masters movement. It doesn’t matter.”
“I do many sports so I can choose what my body is capable of”
“You have to keep moving, I had a new start after my new hips at 60-61 so I’ve got another 15 years at least hopefully. Luckily I do a lot of sailing as well, and swimming. So there are other sports if I can’t play tennis any longer but I love to keep going for as long as possible.”
“It’s the magic of the crowd, being with so many great people”
“I think just being part of the event has been the highlight of it all, winning would have been nice but didn’t really matter in the end. It’s just being there with everybody and meeting new people.”
