Archery

Archery is the art, sport, practice, or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. The word comes from the Latin for bow.

Competitive archery involves shooting arrows at a target for accuracy from a set distance or distances. This is the most popular form of competitive archery worldwide and is called target archery. A form particularly popular in Europe and America is field archery, shot at targets generally set at various distances in a wooded setting.

Age categories

Men and Women: 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+

The age category you will compete in for Archery will be determined as at 31 December of the year of the event. For example, if you are 39 during Games time but have turned 40 by 31 December, you would compete in the 40-49 age category. Competitors can compete in one age category per event.
