In a significant milestone for the World Masters Games (WMG), Mr. Sergii Bubka, President of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA), met with Mr. Masayoshi Matsumoto, Co-Chairman of the Organising Committee Kansai 2027, in New Taipei City before the Farewell Ceremony of the World Masters Games, to discuss the ongoing preparations for the upcoming games in Kansai.
The meeting took place in Taipei City & New Taipei City and was a great step in aligning the strategies for the next edition of the games. Both Mr. Sergii Bubka and Mr. Masayoshi Matsumoto share a deep commitment to ensuring that the World Masters Games remains an inclusive and empowering platform for athletes of all ages. These games, which will be held in the Kansai region of Japan, promise to be a groundbreaking event that highlights the region’s rich cultural heritage while promoting the values of inclusivity, health, and active aging.
